What is EFI?
EFI stands for Electronic Fuel Injection. There are now many different types of EFI outboards. Some manufacturers like to use the newer term of DFI (Direct Fuel Injection). Many have moved away from the DFI term and are using their own terms for their proprietary technology. For example, Yamaha may say HPDI and Evinrude will give you FICHT.

So, investigate before you buy so that you know what you are getting!
