ICEMAN Hi, Ok, lets see what we can do here. THe positive wire that is connected to the starter on the motor goes to the solenoid, on the opposite side of the other positive wire. The other positive wire on the solenoid, in the panel box, goes to the positive side of the battery. The wire from the ground on the motor can go directly to the negative battery terminal and the ground wire from the panel box can go directly to the negative battery terminal also. [Smile] 2002-05-15
SUBMARINER77 HEY ICEMAN-THANKS A MILLION-YOUR DEFINATELY MY HERO FOR T0ODAY-I'M GONNA HOOK IT UP SOON-NEED TO GET A NEW BATTERY FIRST-THANKS A MILLION. 2002-05-15
almost retired again Hi Submariner77;
Are you still on the boats? I put 20 years mostly on them. If you need more help maybe I can copy a wiring diagam and e-mail it to you. I have access to most Johnson, Evinrude & Mercury/Mercruiser manuals and Johnson/Evinrude parts manuals from 1936 to present. If I can be of help just holler.
